Principal's Message

June 1, 2024

As the 2023-2024 school year winds down, we are closing out on a very challenging but successful year.  While we bring this school year to a close, we want to recognize and celebrate the hard work by the CMC Community to arrive at the end of another successful school year.

On Friday, May 24th, we were able to hold our CMC Recognition and Celebration Day in order to recognize and celebrate all of the hard work put into the school year by our community.  The CMC Staff recognized students through special awards, speeches, and congratulations for the hard work, patience and flexibility put in by the CMC Community.  This recognition was followed by a celebration where we took our school to lunch and went bowling after the recognition ceremony.  This event is followed by our Graduate Ceremony on Friday, May 31st at 7pm.  This ceremony will give us the opportunity to celebrate four years of very challenging times endured by our graduates.

This year Clackamas Middle College is graduating 64 students. In this graduating class, our students have earned 3,704 college credits. This equates to an average of 58 college credits per graduate. This provides a savings of nearly $450,000 in community college tuition, and over $1 million dollars in state university tuition for students and families.  This is a testament to the hard work put in by our students, families, and staff both at CMC and the community college.  We hope that you can join us on May 31st for our graduation ceremony.  The Graduating Class of 2024 deserves this honor!

As the year winds down, we are already planning our enrollment process for the 2024-2025 school year. We are a successful school because of the wonderful students who have come through our program. We want to ensure the quality of our system by enrolling fantastic students just like the ones currently enrolled in our program. If you know anyone who is interested in college opportunities, please have them go to our website and follow the directions under the Apply link.

While the 2023-2024 school year comes to a close, it is important for all Clackamas Middle College families and students to check into our website for the latest information regarding activities at CMC.  If you have any questions about anything regarding Clackamas Middle College and it is not posted on the website, please call or email us.

As always, I want to take this opportunity to thank our students, parents/guardians, teachers and other support staff, both at CMC and at CCC for helping our students receive the highest level of education. It is through your hard work and dedication that we can prepare our students for college, work and life after high school.

Thanks for your support and best wishes for the end of the school year...

Brian
