Hello Class of 2025!!
In addition to next week's Class of 2025 Information Night, we will be holding a Common Application / Intro to College Applications workshop on Thursday, September 26th from 9:00am-10:30am in the CMC Commons. We want to support you through the application process so please make sure to attend if you can to get help in the following areas:
- What is the Common App and when is it best to use it?
- How to set up your Common Application First-Year Student account and complete the basic application, including topics such as:
- Adding schools to your dashboard
- How to view and keep track of your deadlines
- Differences between Early Action/Early Decision/Priority/Regular
- Assigning your counselor and recommenders & FERPA release
- Entering in information from your transcript for dual-credit classes
- Other topics:
- How to request letters of recommendation from your CMC counselors
- How to send transcripts and test scores to colleges
- How to get application fee waivers for college applications
- Tips on submitting essays/personal statements
This will be a hands-on session so you bring your laptops and your questions!! We look forward to seeing you!!
