This Friday, October 4th, the 11th and 12th grade students in the College Prep program will be attending the Manufacturing Day 2024 and Taste of the Trades Event at Clackamas Community College (CCC). Students will have the opportunity to tour a local manufacturing business (Warn Industries or Bob's Red Mill) and then travel to CCC for the following activities:
- Engage in Hands-On Experience: Check out CCC’s state-of-the-art equipment, shops and labs at the CCC Oregon City campus.
- Explore Career Pathways: Learn about CCC's career and technical education (CTE) programs that can fast-track students into high demand, living wage jobs.
- Connect with Industry Professionals: Grab some swag and engage with industry professionals at business/employer tabling areas.
This is an excellent opportunity to learn more about your career options after high school and visit a college campus!
Students attending this trip will be leaving the CMC campus at 9:30am on an NCSD school bus and returning to the CMC campus at 1:30pm. Lunch will be NOT provided on the trip - please bring a bagged lunch with you. In order to attend, a permission slip signed by a parent or guardian must be returned to Crystal Eschweiler by Thursday, October 3rd.
