Are you fascinated by the world of microcontrollers, mixed-signal technologies, and cutting-edge solutions that power the devices we use every day? Look no further! Students will go behind-the-scenes at Microchip and explore embedded control solutions at a leading semiconductor and electronics company. They will explore the lab, hear from industry professionals what it's like to work at Microchip, and engage in hands-on learning with Microchip employees.
How to attend:
Step 1: Fill out the fall 2024 student interest form ASAP. (Type your email address and cell number carefully so we can reach you!)
Step 2: Have your parent/guardian fill out the 2024-25 parent/guardian permission form ASAP. (Your application can’t be considered until this is done.) Students who do this early have much better luck at being accepted.
Step 3: PWA will contact you to let you know if you’re accepted or waitlisted, or if the career day is full.
Step 4: Show up and have an amazing time!
Who can attend:
High school students in the Portland metro area are encouraged and welcome to apply. When space is limited, priority is given to students from PWA partner districts (Parkrose, Reynolds, Gresham-Barlow, North Clackamas, Oregon Charter Academy, Portland Public Schools). Students from other districts are always welcome and accepted whenever space is available.
PWA Inclusion Statement: We welcome students from all racial backgrounds and ethnicities, citizenship statuses, socioeconomic backgrounds, gender identities and expressions, sexual orientations, religions and abilities.
