Hello CMC 10th-12th grade students,
The OHSU Knight Cancer Institute is proud to announce that the Application for the 2024 Ted R. Lilley CURE summer internship program is now open. CURE is an 8-week paid internship program at the Knight Cancer Institute, focusing on Portland-area high school students who excel academically and come from socially or economically disadvantaged backgrounds. The goal of CURE is to address the issue of health equity by increasing participation of underserved and underrepresented minorities in biomedical research and other health-related fields.
Who should apply:
• Current sophomores, juniors and seniors from Oregon high schools, particularly public school students in the Portland Metro area (this includes CMC!)
• Students from historically underrepresented backgrounds in health sciences
• Must be 16 or older by June 24, 2024
• Students must have a 3.0 GPA or higher, have taken at least one science class (preferably biology), have an interest in research

Applications are due by December 15, 2023.
